Fresh Expressions and Church Army helping pioneer ministers beat isolation

If you are a pioneer minister, where do you go to find out more about how others are developing fresh expressions of church? You may want to turn to Share at www.sharetheguide.org,
the website developed as part of a joint project between Fresh Expressions and Church Army.

Pages are frequently added to The Guide, and a Share blog is also available for guest contributors to pose questions and tackle key issues. Now two additional areas have been added to the site, which has also been given a ‘makeover’ with a new-look home page and easier navigation.

The Share Community allows ministers to rub shoulders with other practitioners and those interested in new forms of church, write blogs, and form or join discussion groups. They can invite users to be a Friend, use Twitter-like What’s new to say how you’re feeling (in 140 characters), share files and photos, or read what others are saying.

Share ‘perspectives’ is a more formal learning space where pioneers can read current research and add their own comments. Contributors write about mission in different contexts with the idea of building up a picture of what it means to be fresh expressions of church.

Michael Moynagh, editor of Share, said: “The value of the new community area is that lots of people don’t want to blog every day but they do want to be part of a community of bloggers with a specialised interest. They want to hear those voices, wherever they may come from – interdenominational, international, and traditional or other church streams.”
