'Frozen 2' plot: Sequel gets a sad ending; Hans and Anna to get married?

The "Frozen 2" hype is nowhere close to dwindling as online speculations continue to swirl.

Details for the sequel to the hit Disney animated flick have been kept under wraps until now and fans can only hope that there will be confirmative news from the production team.

At this point, nothing has been set on stone and what's going around on the Internet is purely based on fan theories.

A recent plot theory was reported by Movie News Guide, stating that the bubbly and loving Anna could transition to the sequel's big bad. This would also mean that the next movie won't have much of a happy ending.

This speculation was created based on the statement released by "Frozen" Director Chris Buck. Buck told MTV News back in August that the first movie was focused on a happy ending in the kingdom of Arendelle. With that in place, what else could be in store for the sisters?

Another theory is that Elsa's backstory will be given focus on the next film. If this would turn out true, fans will get to see how the Ice Queen got her powers while Anna remains to be just a normal, powerless royalty.

As stated in a report from Crossmap, there was also a theory that Jack Frost will join the "Frozen" franchise and serve as Elsa's love interest. But as noted, this pairing is highly unlikely since Jack Frost is from Dreamworks, which is considered to be a rival of Disney.

If only there will be a movie trailer for "Frozen 2," all these rumors will be shut down. However, what fans currently have — one that went viral — is a fan-made video featuring Anna with a change of heart as she is seen marrying Prince Hans.

As reported by Australia Network News, the faux trailer shows Hans back with another evil plan of making Anna succumb to him. He has a magical hypnotizing amulet that he puts on the sleeping Anna, and when she wakes up, she agrees to marry Hans.

More updates about "Frozen 2" should pop up in the coming months.
