Last Sept. 3, at the Berlin IFA Trade Fair, South Korean tech giant Samsung announced their new gadgets, namely the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge. But while the Galaxy Note 4 has specific release dates already, the Galaxy Note Edge doesn't. So when will it be launched?

According to Forbes, the Galaxy Note Edge will be released by the fourth quarter of this year. But there's a report from GotteBeMobile saying that the phablet will be launched this October. Everyone's keeping their fingers crossed on this one.

The Galaxy Note Edge is something unique in Samsung's line of gadgets. Based on The Epoch Times report, "The Galaxy Note Edge features a small, curved separate screen on its right edge."

It can display an additional row of apps, which can be customized based on the user's preference. Users will no longer have to turn on the main screen just to see updates, as the edge screen will keep the notifications and updates in one place.

Samsung has been very discreet about the Galaxy Note Edge, which may mean that it will come as a surprise to Samsung fans.

On the other hand, the release dates for the Galaxy Note 4 has been revealed. In Australia, Asia, Middle East, Europe, and North America, the Note 4 will be released on Oct. 17. In Central America and Egypt, the phone will hit stores around early November. 

According to The Epoch Times, phone networks such as Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T will carry the Note Edge. It will be sold for $349.99 with a two-year deal by Sprint, while the other networks will sell the device for $299.99 with a two-year deal as well.
