'Game of Thrones' season 6 spoilers, premiere news: Kit Harington hints at return as Jon Snow

Fans of "Game of Thrones" were devastated when the show's season 5 finale featured a haunting final shot of Jon Snow (Kit Harington) lying down on the snow, his blood seeping into the ground after he was stabbed by members of the Night's Watch. And while in previous interviews, Harington insisted that his much-loved character is dead, he appeared to hint at Jon Snow's return to the HBO show for its sixth season in a new interview.

Speaking to Dutch magazine Humo, the actor was asked how many seasons he has signed on for the show, and Harington replied, "Nice try. I can't talk about that. Let's just say that 'Game of Thrones' will remain a part of my life for a while."

The 28-year-old actor added that he will probably be in his thirties when it's over, and said that "the day I'm no longer on Thrones is the day I'll bury myself in movie projects."

Speculation that the actor is returning for another season in the series started back in July when he was spotted heading to Belfast, Northern Ireland, where the show is filming some scenes for the new season. "Game of Thrones"-centric website Watchers on the Wall claims that Harington was on the same flight as Tom Wlaschiha, who plays Jaqen H'ghar on the show. Photos of the actor posted on the website show him sporting his hair in a bun, which fueled further speculation that Harington is keeping his hair long for the role.

Last month, the website reported that Harington was seen again in Belfast and that he posed for a picture with a fan on Aug. 20. In the photo, the actor is wearing a baseball cap to cover his head, but it can be seen that he hasn't changed his character's trademark hairstyle. Watchers on the Wall said that there have been many sightings of the actor in Belfast, and the website has taken to calling his return to the show as "The Worst-Kept Secret in Westeros."

"Game of Thrones" season 6 premieres in the spring of 2016.
