'Game of Thrones' season 8 spoilers: Finale puts everyone outside their comfort zone, according to John Bradley

Travelling to new lands and teaming up with unexpected characters are nothing new in "Game of Thrones." Fans have seen Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) sail her way to Westeros from Essos and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) bring a White Walker from The Wall to King's Landing, among others. However, the relocating is not over just yet.

In an interview with TV Guide, John Bradley, best known in the HBO series as Jon Snow's sidekick Samwell Tarly, revealed that every character will find themselves in new surroundings outside their comfort zone in the forthcoming final season.

"Each of the characters this year is placed in a completely alien environment at some point in the season that they've never been placed in before," he teased. "The thrill is seeing how they react to it and how they respond... This season, I think more than any other, is stretching these characters."

It is hard to imagine just many new environments the characters can find themselves in, but the end of season 7 does set up apparent relocations. Jon and Dany were en route for Winterfell, Jaime (Nikolaj Waldau-Coster) was leaving Kingslanding, and Euron (Pilou Asbæk) was going east for the Golden Company. Even Bradley's character, Sam, left the Citadel with Gilly (Hannah Murray) and Little Sam.

Then again, an "alien environment" may not necessarily mean a physical place; it could also be an unfamiliar situation or a new threat. Either way, Bradley says the stakes are definitely high.

Unfortunately, "Game of Thrones" is still a long way off. Although nothing is official yet, Sophie Turner, aka Thrones' Sansa Stark, let it slip last week that the show will not return until 2019. At this point, they are still mid-production, with around six or seven months left to go. For now, fans can only keep their fingers crossed that the new environments do not result in anyone's death, although that sounds unlikely.
