"General Hospital" spoilers will feature emotional scenes after Nathan (Ryan Paevey) was shot by his own father. What will happen to Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and their child if Nathan dies?

Although Faison (Anders Hove) knows that Nathan is his son, he still shot him which placed Nathan's life in danger. The previous episode showed Nathan and Maxie sharing a special moment together while they talk about their future. The two are looking forward to have a happy family with their unborn child. However, Nathan flat lined after he declared his love for Maxie.

The preview for the upcoming episode shows Griffin (Matt Cohen) rushing to revive Nathan by giving him chest compressions. But it remains to be seen if Griffin will manage to save Nathan's life. Fans are aware that Nathan shot Griffin twice years ago. Will he really do his best to save Nathan? Or will he consider this as a chance for revenge?

The teaser video also features Amy (Risa Dorken) telling Nathan to stay with her. In another scene, it shows Maxie (Kirsten Storms) wearing black while crying. Does it mean that Nathan will really die?

Although Nathan is still in a critical condition in the hospital, it appears that he will not make it. Prior to this, actor Ryan Paevey who plays Nathan, announced that he will be leaving the show. In a Twitter post, Paevey said, "Okay guys, so to get this one out of the way early....for now, yes, Nathan West will be gone." This seems to confirm that Nathan will indeed face his demise as a way for Paevey to exit the series.

As for Maxie, she will have that constant fear of Faison. Because of that, she will experience severe stomach pains and she will be brought to the hospital. Fortunately, Maxie and her son will be safe as long as she avoid too much stress. But the death of Nathan will no doubt cause Maxie too much pain. Will this affect her pregnancy?

"General Hospital" airs on weekdays on ABC.
