Geraldine Latty announces 2009 UK tour

|PIC1|One of the UK’s most loved worship leaders, Geraldine Latty, has this week announced dates for her debut UK tour.

For over a decade Geraldine has continued to inspire church musicians and community choirs across the UK through her performances in cathedrals and marquees, to schools and street
parties, as well as leading worship at major conferences in the UK and around the world.

Her new album ‘Shout it’ declares that God has arrived in Jesus Christ, living through ordinary people who choose to follow Jesus.

This is not just a tour featuring world-class musicians and sing-able, emotive, hip-swaying melodies. Each concert invests in each town by working alongside local churches to promote community action groups.

“We’re choosing to stand with the local church joining in the shout of love and the shout of grace into our communities," said Geraldine.

The title track from the new album, "Shout it!" is a song commissioned by the Oasis Trust and its founder Steve Chalke for the organisation's 21st celebrations.

"It is not an arrogant 'put out' voice, but a voice that gives the silenced voice a reason to sing again," said Geraldine. "God is the new reality, where the 'worker unpaid' and the 'child like a slave' and the 'land that longs for rain' hears and experiences the good news through ordinary people empowered by the Spirit!"
