"God of War" is coming back to the PlayStation and while many are excited, there are also those who have expressed concerns about the game.

The upcoming PlayStation 4 (PS4)-exclusive game "God of War" has recently been getting a lot of attention, with interviews about the game and official promotional videos making their rounds on the internet. While fans of the action-adventure video game are happy to hear of its return, they are also wondering whether the issues in the past version of the game has been fixed. One of the biggest concerns gamers had was the lack of a jump button that was supposedly been addressed previously by the development team, but had continued to be an issue. In a recent interview by The Game Informer Show, director Cory Barlog addressed this and talked about other features of the game.

According to Barlog, players will not miss the jump button as much as they think they would. Instead of focusing on it, players can utilize a lot of other new possible maneuvers on the ground.

The director did not give concrete details but he did mention a few other things that definitely caught people's attention. One is that there will be optional boss fights in the game. While this is not entirely new to other hack-and-slash role-playing video games, the games in "God of War" would always have compulsory bosses.

As to how this feature will play out in the actual game remains to be seen. Speaking of boss fights, Barlog also mentioned that Kratos would be able to increase his health bar for tougher fights. He did not elaborate on this though.

Lastly, some fans have seemingly been mocking how most trailers and videos they see of the game always have a long boat scene. Barlog does not deny that there will be several boat rides but he assures gamers that there are a lot of fun interactions while on the boat. Boats also serve as their transport.

"God of War" is set to be released on April 20, 2018 on the PS4.
