Is there any reason for Draymond Green to jump ship from the streaking Golden State Warriors?

There was word that Draymond had wanted to leave California and return to Detroit. A mutual interest was reportedly already in place but Green's mother wants his son to stay in Golden State, a place where he has been going great strides.

There is no doubt that Green has a major role for coach Steve Kerr and the Warriors. He is perhaps the best defensive player the team has at the moment, something that was even made more prominent when he finished runner-up in voting for this year's NBA Defensive Player of the Year award.

From the looks of it, the only thing that could pry Green out of Oakland would be a fat salaried contract which could secure him in his career. Though still at a ripe age, it remains that Green has a lot of things in store in the NBA, barring any dip or injuries that any NBA player has had to endure.

Baber-Green would prefer to see Draymond playing for the Warriors where he has been productive. And being among the young and rising stars the Warriors have right now, any contract offer should be expectedly matched unless salary cap issues come into play.

Like most rising stars right now, it seems that money would be the only evil that could convince Green from leaving the Bay Area. Such is to be expected at some point but certainly not right now.

Green is a fixture which could certainly help the Warriors snag the NBA title and perhaps before thinking of anything else, accomplishing that should be on his mind.

If the Warriors can make it all the way, expect him as well as the other stars like reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry and sharpshooter Klay Thompson to have a higher market value after the smoke has cleared.
