Google Nexus 8 release date will come soon at the company's I/O Conference as the tablet is in the final stage of testing.

CNET reported that the 8-inch Android tablet is currently undergoing final testing, which is the last step before the consumer launch of the device. This is backed by the prominent Chrome bug tracking website, which hinted that the Nexus 8 will be released on June 25 at Google's tech event.

The report noted that the tech website Myce, which noticed the details in the Google site Chromium, indicated that Google could be ironing out the specs and details of the upcoming 8-inch tablet. CNET also said that the listing revealed very little about the device. The website has code name of "flounder" at the bottom, which suggests that Google is testing a Nexus product.

The same listing claimed that the Google Nexus 8 will be apt for gaming as it was reported to pack a NVIDIA Tegra 4 SoC chipset with 64-bit architecture. Tegra chips were famous for gaming, which makes the tablet appropriate for power hogging games and apps. The screenshot mentioned both 32-bit and 64-bit versions but reports speculated that the tablet will pack the 64-bit version as most handsets are packing this architecture. This is different from initial reports that claimed that Nexus 8 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU.

Google Nexus 8 tablet was also rumored to pack a high quality 8.9 inches screen display as well as the Android 4.5 Lollipop OS, which will also be revealed on the same date as the device. Previous reports stated that Google Nexus 8 will replace the current Nexus 7 tablet as there are fewer competitions in the 8-inch market. The Nexus 8 tablet was also speculated to be available at a higher price tag because of the rumored high end specs and features that the tablet will pack.
