The planned unveiling of the highly anticipated GoPro Hero 5 has been moved to next year so the company can fine-tune the device to make it the best edition of the popular action camcorder that the U.S. company ever produced. This means that consumers need to wait for a few months more before they can get hold of this powerful action video camera.

The San Mateo, California-based camera equipment manufacturer reportedly decided to hold off the release of the GoPro Hero 5 so that they can deliver their promise to make it the best mini action camera that they have ever produced.

GoPro aims to create high-definition action camera devices that consumers can use for extreme sports photography. The company also produces other camera accessories like the 3-Way Mount, Chest Harness, Suction Cup, Dog Harness, Surfing Mount, and Jaws Flex Clamp. These can be used for securing the GoPro devices that are being used in different extreme activities.

But while the American company is still perfecting the GoPro Hero 5, a website checked out the waterproof function of the device to find out if its claims are real. The GoPro Hero-Waterproof All-in-One underwater camera was reviewed through a diving expedition held at the Orkney Islands in Scotland. According to the product description, the device can withstand up to 40 meters of water.

The test proved that the device is true to its promise, and it performed properly until the 40-meter range. However, the function of the device was a little compromised when it reached the 41-meter mark.

While waiting for tthe GoPro Hero 5 to be released sometime in 2016, consumers can opt to get the current GoPro Hero 4 which has a 4K video capacity with 3840 × 2160 pixel resolution at a frame rate of 24, 25 and 30 fps.
