"Gotham" is nearing its season 1 finale and the remaining episodes will focus on the new villain known as the Ogre; but the panel during the WonderCon event gave insights on what fans can expect for season 2, including new storylines and at least four new villains.

The panel was attended by Ben McKenzie who plays the lead character Detective Jim Gordon, Robin Lord Taylor who plays The Penguin, and Cory Michael Smith who plays Edward Nygma a.k.a. The Riddler. They were accompanied by series producer John Stephens.

During the panel, it was confirmed that the Ogre, played by Milo Ventimiglia, would be the central villain in the season 1 finale. The antagonist is not based on any character in the comic books, being an original creation solely for the "Gotham" series on Fox. Also, Edward Nygma would begin progressing into the villain comic book fans know as The Riddler, a baddie who uses elaborate puzzles and riddles to defeat Batman.

The panel also revealed that season 2 would feature Mr. Freeze, Clayface, the Mad Hatter, and Tommy Elliott a.k.a. Hush. Stephens revealed during the panel that the Court of Owls was suggested, but it has not yet been finalized by the showrunners for use in "Gotham."

Stephens also noted that the second season would see further development of the character Jerome, a villain many suspect to be The Joker. He made his first appearance in episode 16 titled "The Blind Fortune Teller," and was portrayed by Cameron Monaghan.

Bruce Wayne was also confirmed to experience some plot advancements in season 2. During the panel it was stated that Bruce would begin developing his public persona, the "billionaire playboy" façade he uses so that no one would suspect he is the Caped Crusader.

"Gotham" season 1 episode 19 is set to air on April 13 and the finale is scheduled to launch on April 27.
