Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) will make his move to free his mother from her kidnappers in the upcoming episode of the Fox series "Gotham."

In "Mommy's Little Monster," Comicbook reports that Butch (Drew Powell) will succeed in leading Penguin and his minions to the warehouse where Gertrude (Carol Kane) is being kept. Last episode, the two planned on infiltrating Theo's (James Frain) posse to get revenge. Penguin sent Butch to the other camp where he fed lies to Theo, stating that his boss has lost his mind and that he was looking for a new employer.

As a bonus, Penguin cut off Butch's hand in a parody of what happened to Theo's ancestors years ago. It now appears that Butch is able to convince Galavan that he is legit. By leading Penguin to where his mother is being held hostage, the first step to take down Theo has been set in motion. Will they succeed? Theo has proven to be a tough opponent. While Butch seems convinced he has him fooled, he should not be so sure about it.

Meanwhile, the synopsis reveals that Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) will face some tough times ahead. After the fatal accident, he has to come to terms with everything that transpired. Elsewhere, a new mayor has taken control of Gotham City. Theo appears to have succeeded with his plans to usurp the position. He will reportedly bring his brand of chaos to the citizens. Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and the Gotham City Police Department (GCPD) will surely have their hands full trying to keep the city safe.

Last episode, Gordon was on a warpath to find Bridgit Pike (Michelle Veintimilla) after she killed Officer Luke Garrett (Lenny Platt). The Firefly was staying with her friend Selina (Camren Bicondova), who advised her that it was best to get out of town. When she was about to flee, however, her brothers showed up and kidnapped her.

Meanwhile, Joe (Leo Fitzpatrick) and Cale (Ari McKay Wilford) were upset about Bridgit for abandoning them. They did not expect, however, that she was crazy enough to kill her brothers. When Gordon found the Pikes, they were already dead. The Firefly had become a vigilante and viewed herself as the savior of women. Gordon had no option but shoot her.

At the end, however, it was revealed that Bridgit did not die, but was sent to Indian Hill. This was the underground lab at Wayne Enterprises where they do experiments on people.

"Gotham" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
