"Grand Theft Auto 5" recently released a new event titled "Doomsday Heist." The event comes with three new heists, story missions, and a lot of content for excited fans to sink their teeth into.

The official trailer for the free update was uploaded to Rockstar Game's YouTube channel on Dec. 7. The trailer, while only around a minute long, showcased some of the update's new action-packed missions. The trailer had fans all over the world anticipating the release, and luckily, they did not have to wait long.

The free update arrived for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on Dec. 12.

The "Doomsday Heist" quests involve saving the world.

According to an announcement by Rockstar Games. The update begins when the player finds out that some bad people have been scheming to put an end to all life on earth.

Due to the dire situation, the protagonist is enlisted to help stop the big bad. The player will be given access to an underground planning room where they will be able to gather their bearings and plan their attack. Players will be able to team up with two-four other players to complete the missions.

The campaign will involve plenty of planning, tactical teamwork, and to make things even better – an assortment of new vehicles and weapons for the players to choose from.

There are plenty of missions to complete, and some will allow up to eight players to team up.

Plenty of weapons are getting an upgrade as well in "Doomsday Heist," so players are not only getting new, explosive toys to play with. Instead, they will also be getting more powerful versions of old and beloved weapons too. Rockstar Games even threw a jetpack into the mix, making the latest update a mixed bag of wonderful treats. A list of new updates is available on Rockstar Game's website.
