The former "Top Gear" trio is expected to return to the small screen this year with their Amazon Prime show, "The Grand Tour." PCAdvisor reports that they have planned this car show to film in "a giant tent" in Johannesburg, South Africa this coming July 17, with plans for 36 episodes in various locations around the world. This series is also going to be exclusively available on Amazon Prime, so watching it would require you to be an Amazon Prime member.

According to Radio Times, there will be free tickets offered to fans who will join the summer prize draw competition from Amazon. The show is expected to make its premiere via the Amazon Prime streaming service this coming autumn.

The Huffington Post reveals that "The Grand Tour" will make its premiere on Amazon Prime with 12 episodes for the first series, and with 24 more episodes in the next two years. They are going to release one episode per week, to make sure that viewers will make more of an emotional investment in the show. Amazon Prime is also hoping that Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May's popularity will be enough to draw the viewers to the show, since they need to financially recover from the trio walking away from the BBC last year.

Entertainment mentions that there are three pairs of free tickets to Johannesburg in South Africa for the viewers to see the filming of the show. The presenters will pick the winners after June 8, when the prize draw ends.

Jeremy Clarkson is already doing a good job of hyping up the new series for his long-time fans, with tweets stating that he is "doing the most dangerous stunt ever attempted", and that he "survived the day". This recent post on his Twitter account is accompanied by a photo of his bloodied face after said stunt. It should be well worth the risk, though, since the tweets has caught the attention of thousands of fans eager to finally see the new episode revealed online.
