Seattle Grace Hospital is divided once more as two of its doctors spend their day in court in "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 episode 2, "Catastrophe and the Cure."

When the show returns for the new episode, Alex (Justin Chambers) faces the repercussions of his actions, which sent DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) to the hospital and put his career on the rocks.

In the promo for the "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 episode, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) assured her best friend that he is not going to prison, which may prove far-fetched.

A sneak peek of "Grey's Anatomy" season 13, episode 2 teases that instead of misdemeanor with probation, as Meredith expected, Alex was charged with felony assault in the second degree, which entails a decade in prison.

While in the courtroom awaiting his fate after what he just heard, a shocked Alex saw Jo (Camilla Luddington) at the back of the room. His face lit up but Jo ignored him.

It looks like she did not come there to support Alex. It was teased prior to the premiere of "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 that she is not pleased with what he did.

Meanwhile, as per the synopsis of "Grey's Anatomy" season 13, episode 2, Meredith's loyalties will be shaken as the people around her try to convince her to save herself from what could potentially be one big mess.

In another sneak peek, Meredith was speaking to her sister Maggie (Kelly McCreary), who was not at all happy about Mer and Alex conspiring to justify the beating her ex-boyfriend endured.

Bailey (Chandra Wilson), on the other hand, also reminded Meredith that she cannot let herself go down with Alex. It looks like she will need more convincing, though.

At some point in the episode, fans can expect to see Mer threaten DeLuca, who refuses to be treated as such. This may have just worsened the situation.

Like the Seattle Grace Hospital doctors, "Grey's Anatomy" fans are divided in this situation. Some say that Alex does not deserve to go to jail, and DeLuca should know better that it was nothing but a misunderstanding.

Others side with DeLuca as they believe Alex crossed the line. A lot of fans also hope that Jo speaks up and tells the truth about what happened. What will happen of the three is still unknown at the moment.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 3 episode 2, "Catastrophe and the Cure," airs on Thursday, Sept. 29, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
