The fifth season of NBC's fantasy police procedural drama "Grimm" ended with two of the show's characters, Trubel and Eve/Juliette, being saved by a magical healing stick discovered by Nick and Monroe.

It looks like this magical find, however, is more than just a life-saving device for the Scooby Gang. In an interview with EnStars at the San Diego Comic-Con, "Grimm" creator David Greenwalt hinted that the healing stick is more than meets the eye.

Greenwalt said the magical healing stick will unleash its other side and will be a central focus in "Grimm" Season 6.

"That's the very big mystery of the season. You're going to see a lot of repercussions, but what is that, where does it come from, how did it get there? They buried it for a reason, for sure," the "Grimm" creator said.

He added that "it won't be long" before the stick's negative properties manifest in the show's upcoming episodes, expected to air on NBC this fall.

Another aspect about the magical stick that will be explored next season is whether Nick, played by actor David Giuntoli, will tell the rest of the Scooby Gang about it.

"Nick and the Scooby Gang are still discovering the potential of this stick, right along with the viewers. Nick survived a barrage of bullets through his chest and only he knows he's invincible at this point. But we don't know much more, like what kind of evil this stick could be used for if it falls into the wrong hands," Giuntoli said in an earlier interview with TV Insider.

"He just puts that crazy stick back in his pocket. Is he going to tell the rest of the gang? We'll see," the actor added.

TV Line also earlier reported that actor Chris McKenna has been cast in "Grimm" Season 6 to play the role of Lt. Grossante, who is described as a "formidable and driven" and "military-type" cop.
