'GTA Online' Heists release date delayed to 2015? Rockstar's latest hints

Grand Theft Auto V

Game developer Rockstar announced that the "Grand Theft Auto 5" DLC and new Online Heists update are coming soon.  The statement from the company hints that gamers will have to wait until after New Year for the new Online Heists. Still, the exact date of launch for the update has not been revealed.

"Expect big things in both Grand Theft Auto Online and Grand Theft Auto V next year including: GTA Online Heists," said the post on Rockstar's official web site.

The company acknowledges that a lot of gamers are waiting for the new updates on the hit video game. The gamemaker again confirms that the co-operative Heists are currently under development and they are polishing it for the sake of the game's loyal players.

"Heists are currently in development and we are working very hard to get them as polished and as fun as they can be. Stay tuned for much more detail in the New Year," the post continued.

Meanwhile, the gamemaker also teased that the company is planning to release two major DLCs for the story mode version of "GTA 5." Rockstar revealed that the company has big plans for the new downloadable contents of the game.

The previous version, "GTA 4," also received two massive DLCs called "The Lost and the Damned" and "The Ballad of Gay Tony." The gamemaker hinted that it will extend the story of Michael, Franklin, and Trevor. Players should expect more action, mayhem and unexpected adventures in Southern San Andreas.

Rockstar also announced new content for "GTA Online." Furthermore, they will release a free Deathmatch and Race Creators tool, coming this week. This update allows players to make their own content in "GTA Online" as well as play the content that other players build. Rockstar gives players a chance to customize their own game with access to some of the tools used by the company's designers.

The Xbox One version and PS4 versions of "GTA 5" will arrive on Nov. 18.
