'Halo 5: Guardians' release date set in October, new trailers revealed

"Halo" fans should mark their calendars as game developer 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft announced that the highly-anticipated "Halo 5: Guardians" will be released on Oct. 27.  But months before the game becomes available, fans are treated to new live-action trailers for the game.

The first one shows the Master Chief going toward a wounded Spartan standing against a Master Chief statue. The Master Chief chats with the Spartan, saying, "You've completed your mission Spartan Locke; mine is just beginning."

For the second trailer, Spartan Locke walks toward the Master Chief, and tells him that he should be blamed for all the destruction in the surroundings. The Spartan states, "All hail the conquering hero. Let us remember him as our protector, and not the one who gave us this. As our savior, and not our betrayer. Let us see him forever, as you and not as you."

But yesterday, a third trailer was released by the game developer to excite fans further for the release of the new game. The latest trailer shows war photographer and journalist Benjamin Giraud as he embarks on a journey to investigate on the life of the Master Chief.

"Halo 5: Guardians" will come out with a variety of new features, including the brand-new Arena Multiplayer mode. There are also several other surprise features that will only be uncovered once the title comes out later this year.

Although the game is still a few months away from its release, several retailers like Gamestop are already offering the game for pre-order. For those who will choose to get the game as early as now, they can purchase it on Gamestop for just $59.99 for a limited time only.
