'Halo: Master Chief Collection' new patch update 1.19.15 contains matchmaking features

The new "Halo: Master Chief Collection" 1.19.15 update is now up and running to help improve most of the matchmaking, UI and game-specific issues found in the latest installment in the "Halo" series.

343 Industries announced the coming of the patch in their official website over the weekend, saying that they are working to come up with further content updates with added enhancements for parties, matchmaking, as well as some of the best community items. 

The list of updates contained in the patch released on Monday includes: 

Matchmaking 

  • Enhanced success rates in all matchmaking searches 
  • Lessen the chances of receiving "Awaiting Privileges" matchmaking errors 
  • An update to make sure that the player counts have more accurate match with the expected numbers intended for each playlist 
  • Repaired the bug where the player happens to search in a wrong "FIND GAME" screen 
  • Installed an additional countdown sound effect to the game's voting timer 

General Multiplayer 

  • An updated "Halo 2: Anniversary" network performance, particularly focusing on the bandwidth spikes 
  • Enhanced party joining feature using the in-game Roster 
  • An update that makes sure that the mute icon can be seen in Matchmaking 
  • Repaired the issue in "Halo 4" that could allow players to use the same weapon as their primary and secondary arms. 

Other improvements 

  • Enhanced stat tracking for "Halo: CE," "Halo 2," "Halo 3," and "Halo 4"  
  • Several changes to the scoring of "Halo 3" and "Halo 4" to make sure that all the players will not be fined for wrecking empty vehicles 
  • Lowered the music volume level in multiplayer menus 
  • Revised the UI and menus to enhance the multiplayer status messaging 
  • Updated "Legacy" stick layout of the "Halo 2: Anniversary" 
  • Improved stability in multiple titles meant for campaign and multiplayer 

Meanwhile, the game developer also released an apology gift for all players of "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" who purchased the game before Dec. 19, 2014. The free gift comes in the form of a month of free game access on Xbox Live that will begin immediately. The players will also get a complimentary "Halo 2" map sometime before the end of 2015 as well as a free ODST add-on.
