The roll-out for the new patch for "Hitman" is now complete, as the update is now also available for the PC version.

In the patch notes released in the announcement posted on the Steam forums, the new patch 1.03 updates the PC version to the improvements, tweaks, and new content that landed on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions a week ago. The new patch also updates the "Hitman" game on PC with system-specific fixes.

PC-specific tweaks that developer IO Interactive rolled out with patch 1.03 include gameplay, interface, and system fixes. Graphics-wise, the new "Hitman" version will be shaded and more detailed, as the new patch introduces improved DX12 shader and pipeline cache. Meanwhile, hardware issues have also been fixed, particularly the switching glitch between a keyboard and game controllers since the game previously detected PC hardware components as an extra game controller.

As for its gameplay, the PC version of "Hitman" now also includes expanded content, as patch 1.03 rolls out the "Vampire Magician Pack." The bundle unlocks 10 additional challenges for the players, and the missions are designed from scratch and "were inspired by how our community have been playing the game."

Gameplay issues in the previous PC version prior to the patch have also been updated. For example, patch 1.03 addresses known bugs in the "Showstopper" mission for the PC version, as well as the glitches in the "In Seine" challenge in the Episode 1 pack.

The new patch is also released in preparation for the upcoming new pack for "Hitman," the Episode 2 content for the game. Episode 2, which unlocks the Sapienza batch of missions, will be released on April 26.

For those who are new to the game, IO Interactive and publisher Square Enix decided to chop the new "Hitman" game into episodic releases, with the initial launch containing the Prologue and Episode 1 content for the title. After Episode 2 comes out later this month, the next content is expected to be released by May.
