'Homeland' season 4 episode 9: Will Saul make it in 'There's Something Else Going On'?

Things have been very intense in the past three episodes of "Homeland" season 4, and by the looks of it, there's no putting on the brakes as there are only two episodes left this season. This Sunday, the second to the last episode will be aired and it will focus on the prisoner exchange between the CIA and the Talibans.

The teaser trailer for episode 9, "There's Something Else Going On," shows the past events that have led to Saul's capture and now, being held hostage by Haissam Haqqani. The trailer itself looks pretty intense as if showing that Saul may not make it out alive.

In episode 8, Saul made Carrie promise that it's either he is rescued or he dies because he doesn't want to get recaptured again. He even tried killing himself when he knew he was surrounded by the Talibans. Carrie talked him out of it, only to lead him directly to the Talibans for recapture. Carrie had to do what she had to, to save Saul's life and fight this battle another day.

In episode 9, that "another day" has come, but Carrie and the CIA are being very careful with their moves. In an episode clip, Carrie talks to Peter Quinn saying that she knows there's something else going on, that the Talibans might actually kill Saul during the hand off or simply keep him. She wants Quinn to look for anything that may not go according to plan.

However, according to TV Guide, it may not be the Talibans who will create drama during the exchange but Saul himself. Things will get "awry almost from the start," described the report. Saul is angry and he wants to die, he doesn't want any part of Haqqani's game. He will create a dramatic affair that will lead to a very intense exchange with both sides ready to fire and Carrie trying to talk to the angry Saul again.

Meanwhile, TV Line reports that the best part of the episode will be the ending. The site even called it as one of the top 5 episodes of "Homeland."

Will Saul live or die? There have been rumors that the cast was shooting a funeral scene back then.  Could it be that of Saul's? Fans are definitely not hoping for that to happen.

"Homeland" will air this Sunday on Showtime. Don't miss this episode.
