'House of Cards' season 4 spoilers: Show reveals premiere date in Frank Underwood campaign ad

"House of Cards" released the season 4 teaser on Tuesday, Dec. 15, during the GOP debate on CNN. While viewers were glued to their screens as they followed the debate, the Netflix series decided to join in on the fun by releasing a mock campaign ad, featuring Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey).

The spot features idyllic scenes in the country's farmland with children running around, people working together, and a soldier being hugged by his family.

"It's a new day in America," a narrator says in the ad. "Today, more people will go to work, return home to their families, and sleep more soundly than ever before—all because one man refuses to settle."

"Putting people before politics: that man is Frank Underwood."

Frank is shown writing on his desk. He closes his leather-bound notebook with a loud snap and says, "America, I'm only getting started. I'm Frank Underwood, and I approve this message."

Frank started off in season one as Majority Whip. He was sworn in as president during season 2, and season 3 saw him preparing to run in the 2016 election while his marriage to Claire (Robin Wright) fell apart.

Aside from the campaign ad, Netflix has also set up the website FU2016.com to promote the upcoming season. There has been no news about season 4 as the cast and crew have been keeping the storyline firmly under wraps, apart from the fact that Neve Campbell will be joining the show.

The "Party of Five" star has been cast in a series regular role in the Netflix drama, and while there are no details about her role, previous reports claim that the new season will see a new and younger power couple who is about to make waves in D.C., and it remains to be seen whether Campbell will be part of that said couple.

Season 4 of "House of Cards" premieres March 4 on Netflix.
