Less than a month from now, "House of Cards" season 4 will officially premiere. To help fans get ready for the cunning politician's return, Netflix has released promotional images from the upcoming season, which scream nothing but dejected tone.

For a start, one image gives viewers a good look at Claire on board a plane and looking rather wretched. In the previous season, the first lady walked out on Frank Underwood and it looks like she may not be all that happy with her decision.

Another photo from "House of Cards" season 4 showed Frank looking like he just received a bad news over the phone. Both images show the once-powerhouse couple going about their lives even after the split seems to have sidetracked them for a bit/

New teasers for the new season of the drama were also released. The last two clips released are all about subtlety and humor and altogether connect the previous seasons to the new one.

The latest "House of Cards" season 4 sneak peek is called "Exhaust," which features the exhaust pipe of the car belching smoke before a garage door rapidly closed down to block the view. The car's rear had a sticker that said "Underwood 2016: Whatever it Takes."

Fans will remember that this scene is much like how Pete Russo met his demise. The previous teaser called "Tracks," also harked back to the time Frank murdered journalist and former lover Zoe Barnes in front of the subway train.

The way these clips were fashioned has many thinking that Frank's body count will increase in "House of Cards" season 4. The scarier part is that Claire might be the latest person he bumps off. After all, he'll do "whatever it takes" as he promises in his slogan.
