This is a massive games for both teams, with the sides coming into today's match up tied for the top of the AFC South. Both the Colts and the Texans are on 6-7 and however wins this game today is likely to claim the division and the Playoff spot that comes with it. The loser may end up missing out on the postseason altogether.

If the Texans are to win today though they will have to win at the Lucas Oil Stadium for the first time since 2002.

Both teams will be starting with backup quarterbacks today after suffering injuries this season to their regular starters. Andrew Luck is once again missing for the Colts, and he has been out for six games in total this season, including the last four due to a lacerated kidney and a partially torn abdominal muscle.

The good news for the Colts is that Luck has returned to training earlier in the week, but as yet he has not been cleared for full participation. That means Matt Hasselbeck will be in at quarterback again for Indianapolis, and their postseason hopes may well be in his hands today.

Earlier in the week, the Dallas Cowboys were finally put out of their misery and confirmed as eliminated as postseason contenders. On Saturday night the Cowboys hosted the New York Jets, and although the game went right down to the wire, Dallas were yet again on the wrong side of a tight result to leave them lagging on 4-10 and out of the Playoff picture.

The Jets moved to 9-5 after Randy Bullock kicked a 40 yard field goal with just 36 seconds remaining to hand New York a 19-16 win on the night. The field goal was set up via a Ryan Fitzpatrick 43 yard pass to Kenbrell Thompkins as the quarterback continues to establish himself.

The win for the Jets puts them half a game ahead of both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Kansas City Chiefs who remain on 8-5 coming into Sunday's games. The race for the two Wild Card sports in the AFC will likely go down to a contest between these three teams, and the Jets need to make sure they win out to give themselves the best chance of making the postseason.

The New York Jets appear to be hitting their best form at the right time, as they have now gained their fourth straight win in a row - the first time the franchise has done that since back in 2010.
