The Houston Texans and the Jacksonville Jaguars will face off on Sunday in a big game for both teams in Week 6 of the NFL 2015 regular season. Both teams come into today's clash on 1-4, seeking only their second win of the season. The game has a scheduled start time of 1 p.m. ET and takes place from EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Florida. It has been confirmed that Brian Hoyer will start at quarterback for today's game. The Texans' starting quarterback position has been up in the air this season, with coach Bill O'Brien failing to make a firm decision on who is the best man for the job. That indecisiveness will stop for one more week at least, with Hoyer appearing to do enough last week to convince O'Brien that he should be the starter against the Jaguars this week.

Hoyer of course was handed the starting quarterback job when training camp was finished, but was then unceremoniously stripped of the position when O'Brien switched in Mallett during the season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs - which they lost.

Mallett went on to start the last four games, but has been benched in the last two with Hoyer coming in. Hoyer is now the flavor of the month again, and the Texans will be hoping he can lead his team to just their second win of the season so far today.

Hoyer finished with 24 of 31 for 312 yards last week, throwing two touchdowns against the Indianapolis Colts.

About the quarterback position, O'Brien has said, "It's 11 one-game seasons (remaining), so (Hoyer's) the starter for Jacksonville. I think over the last two games he's gone in there with a really good attitude, with a calmness about him, with really good mechanics. Has he been perfect? No. But I think that ... overall he's played pretty well."

Elsewhere in the NFL, earlier this week the Atlanta Falcons suffered their first defeat of the season, coming up short against the New Orleans Saints on NFL Thursday Night Football.

Drew Brees was the clear difference between the teams, with the Saints' quarterback passing for 312 yards. Brees connected excellently with Ben Watson, who posted a career high of 127 yards receiving, including a fourth down touchdown catch.

The game also saw an spectacular punt block by Michael Mauti, who went on to recover the ball for a touchdown to the delight of tens of thousands of fans at the Superdome.

There were also two short touchdowns for Mark Ingram, as the Saints put on arguably their best display of the season so far. The New Orleans defense also were fantastic, and arguably turned the game by recovering three fumbles, including two inside the Saints' own 20 yard line.

Even though there was a late rally by the Falcons, it was a matter of too little too late for Atlanta as they went down 21-31.
