The HTC A9 reportedly has a look-alike, at least such appears to be the case in some leaked photos of the new phone.

The new photos of the HTC A9 reportedly come from China, and what they show is a new device that may look familiar to a lot of people.

According to Android Central, the HTC A9 bears an uncanny resemblance to the iPhone 6. Although the resemblance may indeed be undeniable, the look of the new phone may also just be the product of HTC simply progressing with the way they are conceptualizing their phones. It is not unheard of for smartphones to look similar to other models, and that could also just be the case here.

The rumored look of the HTC A9 could also just be the result of the company opting for a flatter design with their new offering, and it may have just been a coincidence that it had a doppelganger in the mobile realm.

The photos themselves are still unofficial, so it's not a lock that the HTC A9 will indeed come out looking like the identical twin of the iPhone 6.

Aside from its familiar appearance, there are other details that have come out regarding the HTC A9.

The new phone will reportedly feature a QHD touchscreen made with Gorilla Glass 4 and finished with 2.5D curved edges, according to GSM Arena.

Other leaked features of the HTC A9 suggest that it will come with 4 GB of RAM once released.

People will also reportedly be able to choose from two different models of the phone, with one known sporting the Tyrant Gold color and the other bathed in Dark Grey.

Not much else is currently known about the HTC A9, but that figures to change with the device rumored to be officially launched by October and made available to the public a month later.
