Following the details gleaned from the HTC Desire 728's visit to China's regulatory agency TENAA, a slew of live images showing the handset in all its glory was leaked. The Taiwan-based manufacturer has yet to make the device official but the Desire 820 successor already posed for high-quality pics to show off its new look. 

Phone Arena says that the mid-range device's top and bottom bezels are smaller, at least compared to what HTC uses in its handsets. This makes it look a bit shorter when put side by side other HTC smartphones. The device, however, sports a dual front-facing BoomSound speakers as expected. 

The smartphone has a metal frame and its back is polycarbonate. It is reportedly going to get a fingerprint magnet somewhere on the rear. There is a microSD card slot and a SIM slot obscured by a long flap on one side and the other lodges the power button and volume rocker. 

The rest of the specs of the HTC Desire 728, as revealed by previous leaks and rumors, include a 5.5-inch 720p display and a MediaTek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz. This should work nicely with a 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of built-in storage, which is expandable.

The HTC Desire 728 reportedly has a 13 MP rear-facing camera and a 5 MP shooter on the front for selfies. It should run Android 5.1 Lollipop on top of the HTC Sense 7 UI, which is there for some personal touch. The energy of the mid-ranger will come from a 2800 mAh battery. 

Phone Arena adds that the device's dimension is at 157.9 x 77.8 x 7.87 mm and weighs 150 g. The site also says that the HTC Desire 728 might only be sold in China but what it gives away is that HTC has plans in changing things up in the design department for future handsets.
