Google Nexus 9 discount available every Tuesday until December
Great news to those who want to buy the HTC Nexus 9 at a lesser price. The tablet's price tag will be halved every Tuesday until the end of the year through HTC's "Hot Deals."
Taiwanese manufacturer HTC will hold "Hot Deals" in the United States every Tuesday for the next nine weeks to promote the Nexus 9 tablet. According to reports, the tablet's price will be reduced to half from $399 to $199. The discount is part of the promotional holiday campaign of the company.
HTC's "Hot Deals" started last Nov. 4 and will take place every Tuesday at 9 a.m. PST/ 12 p.m. EST, and will last for 12 hours. The promo will also offer other HTC devices such as RE camera, HTC One M8, and HTC Desire EYE. The devices will be available in limited quantities.
Meanwhile, consumers can also purchase the HTC tablet via the Google Play Store with shipping from one to two days. The website lists the Wi-Fi variant of Nexus 9 and offers the Lunar White and Indigo Black models. Reports claim that the Play Store will offer the LTE variant very soon. The device costs $399 for the 16 GB model while the 32 GB model costs $479.
A lot of buyers want to take home the Nexus 9, which was announced last Oct. 16 and boasts top-of-the-line specs and features. The Google Nexus 9 packs an 8.9-inch IPS LCD display with Quad HD (1536 x 2048) screen resolution. The tablet is equipped with Nvidia's 64-bit-enabled Tegra K1 chipset with dual-core 2.3 Denver CPU and Kepler DX1 GPU paired with 3 GB RAM. It runs the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop, which supports 64-bit chipsets.
The tablet has an 8 MP back camera with autofocus and LED flash and a 1.6 MP front facing camera, stereo speakers with HTC Boomsound, and a 6700 mAh battery. The smartphone also comes with Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and microUSB 2.0 and is available in 16 GB and 32 GB of internal storage variants.
