HTC One M9 preorder in the UK: Carphone Warehouse, Vodafone and more

U.K. retailer Carphone Warehouse is among the first to put up the HTC One M9 for pre-order. Buyers who avail of the offer from the said dealer will be able to get the fresh 2015 HTC flagship for £580.

Users who want to get a plan along with it can check out the promotions that start at £39.50 per month. This gives them the phone and gets them tied up in a two-year contract with the retailer. Carphone Warehouse has listed March 31 as its target delivery date for all the HTC One M9 pre-orders.

Meanwhile, Vodafone is also accepting pre-orders and is tying up the device for £26.50 per month with £169 upfront payment.

The HTC One M9 was introduced during the recently concluded Mobile World Congress. The handset is notably lighter and thicker than its predecessor although it kept the 5-inch display set at 1080p and a 441 ppi pixel density.

The big boost here is what's under the hood. The HTC One M9 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, which has four cores set at 1.5 GHz and another four at 2 GHz. It only has a 32 GB variant to offer but its RAM is at 3 GB. The handset can last for more than a day of talk time, thanks to its 2840 mAh battery unit.

There are no UltraPixel shooters for the HTC One M9 as the Taiwanese manufacturer opted to slot in a hefty 20.7-megapixel rear-facing camera, which allows users to capture videos in 2160p at 30 frames per second. The brand-new handset also features a 4-megapixel front camera, which allows HD recording as well.

The handset also has Android 5.0 Lollipop straight out of the box. While it is only a matter of time before the HTC One M8 catches up with that (the device is currently seeding the latest operating system), the HTC One M9 offers an extra color option for buyers. In addition to the usual Gunmetal Gray, Amber Gold, and Silver/Rose Gold variants, the device will put forward one colored with Gold/Pink.
