When Huawei announced that it would be breaching the U.S. market this year, one of the devices that the China-based company launched for its U.S. release was the Honor 5X. However, it seems that the new product will be launched not only in North America but in Europe as well.

Android Community reported that although there was no specific date mentioned, retailer vMall UK has put up an image banner for the new product on its website, and there was also a "nine-day countdown" when it was published, putting its launch date as Feb. 4.

Should the Honor 5X release early next month, it would have a close release date with the North America launch, which is set for late January.

According to GSM Arena, the online store also prepared a promotion for the February launch of the Honor 5X. Would-be buyers can get a promo code for £20, €20, or CHF 20 off their purchases, depending on their locations. In addition, those who will buy the Honor 5X get an additional promo code for a £10, €10, or CHF 10 discount for their next purchase.

Meanwhile, the U.S. release date gets closer for the Honor 5X, and Huawei is pulling out all stops to make its roll-out as successful as possible. According to Phone Arena, a new security update has been pushed for the device.

The new security patch was rolled out to the firmware itself, so those who have already pre-ordered the Honor 5X will be receiving their devices with the security update already installed. In addition, the industry follower also mentioned that although the Honor 5X will roll out with Android 5.0 Lollipop onboard, the security update might be an indication that Huawei is planning an Android 6.0 jump soon.

The Honor 5X will arrive in the U.S. on Jan. 31.
