Hundreds Gather to Celebrate Christian Radio DAB Launch

|PIC1|Hundreds gathered at Central Hall Westminster last night to celebrate the launch of Premier Radio's DAB licence, which enables listeners in London to receive a signal from almost anywhere in the capital.

The DAB Launch Celebration Event featured praise and worship by John Pantry, Muyiwa & Riversongz and teachings from Dr Liam Goligher of Duke Street Church.

The 11-year-old station began broadcasting throughout London on DAB during the Easter holiday.

Peter Kerridge, Premier Radio's Chief Executive said, "We at Premier are excited to begin broadcasting on DAB. We currently hold an audience of around 200,000 on medium wave and we're confident that the new digital licence will allow even more Christians in London and the surrounding areas to tune in to Premier for worship, Bible teaching and Christian news."

"Premier broadcasting on DAB isn't just good news for the 200,000 listeners who tune in on medium wave across London every week, it's also good news for Christians in the greater London area who previously have not been able to secure a strong signal on medium wave."

In addition to DAB, Premier Christian Radio broadcasts to London and beyond on medium wave, Freeview, Sky and the web.
