Over the past months, people have been clamoring for any update on Apple, particularly the next in line for their flagship products. However, most of the queries have been focused on the upcoming new iPhone. There was also much fanfare when Apple announced the upcoming iOS 9 and El Capitan platforms.

On the other hand, some products have gotten their new updates through quiet announcements, such as the newly-overhauled 6th-gen iPod, plus a new iMac.

However, it seems Apple is not just concentrating on the smartphone and platforms side of its flagship lineups. New rumors surface that Apple will also be updating its iMac lineups soon.

Earlier this year, most tech experts have already surmised that a new iMac will be added to the existing lineup. One Apple observer, Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, had analyzed that Apple will be introducing a new iMac, and sooner than what others think. Quoted by Apple fan site MacRumors, Kuo said, "We believe Apple will introduce new iMac models in 3Q15, which are expected to have key selling points such as more powerful processors and much better display quality. We predict the panel will use a LED phosphor material called KSF to notably boost color saturation."

Although the announcement is still not confirmed by Apple itself, other experts note that the observation could have some grain of truth in it, as Kuo is known to have already correctly predicted some Apple decisions in the past, most notably the company's plans to introduce the iPhone 5s and 5c variants.

Just recently, other developers have also tinkered with a preview version of the upcoming El Capitan OS, and found out that some lines of codes hint at an upcoming 21-inch iMac with Retina screen. This might point out that Apple is indeed thinking of coming out with a new iMac with 4K display.
