An iMac 2016 update is speculated to arrive this year with an Intel Kaby Lake processor. It is also rumored to arrive this month. Now, a Best Buy listing has surfaced the other day which shows the major specifications of the new generation all-in-one (AIO) machine.

During the weekend, Best Buy put up an ad for the upcoming 27-inch iMac. It contains a 5K Retina display, a seventh generation Intel Core Kaby Lake processor, 32 GB of RAM, and a 2 TB Fusion Drive. It was also listed with an AMD Radeon M9 M380 graphics chip and a price tag of $3,199.99, according to a report by WCCFTech.

This new unit was only displayed very briefly, but several tech news outlets were fast enough to capture an image of it. They are also fast enough to discover a few unbelievable information. The current iMacs from Apple feature the company's M395 GPU already, so why would a newer model will sport an older GPU model?

Apple Insider added that a customized model with a 4.0 GHz sixth generation i7 processor, 32 GB of RAM, and a 2 TB Fusion Drive has a price tag of $3,150 directly from Apple. It is also just $50 less than the Best Buy offering, which is a bit odd. This is aside from the model number of the new item, K0SC0LL/A, which does not follow the known model numbers of existing units. Current models have MK462, MK472, or MK482 as the model code.

The community is now speculating that the posting could have been a mistake on the part of a Best Buy employee. It could even just be a placeholder, and the add still actually exists now, sans the seventh generation Kaby Lake processor.

Meanwhile, Apple fans are highly expecting the arrival of the 2016 iteration of the MacBook Pro. The rumored laptop is speculated to feature an OLED touch bar which is said to replace the traditional function keys on the keyboard. The new feature will change according to the active application that a user is running — media functions for iTunes, editing functions for document editing application.
