"Injustice 2" is one of the highly anticipated games for next year and fans are always eager to learn more about it. Two new characters are expected to be revealed at the upcoming San Diego Comic Con, and fans can hardly wait.

The "Injustice 2" roster will have an update this coming Friday, July 22. This will be coming from the Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment panel, which will be composed of "Mortal Kombat" creator Ed Boon, "Injustice: Gods Among Us" comic book writer Tom Taylor, and actors George Newbern (Superman), Phil LaMarr (Aquaman), Laura Bailey (Supergirl) and several more guests. The panel's time slot is from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., in room 6DE of the San Diego Convention Center, Comic Book stated.

There is no hint at who will be next to arrive as the playable characters of the game, but it has already been confirmed that the roster will include Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Gorilla Grodd, The Flash, Atrocitus, and Aquaman. Fans are speculating that Green Lantern and Cyborg from the Justice League group maybe revealed this weekend.

Meanwhile, fans are also speculating that Batgirl and The Joker will be back in the sequel, when Boon suggested that fans read "The Killing Joke" and "Flashpoint" comic book issues to learn more about future game characters. Specifically, these comic book issues feature Batgirl, The Joker, Booster Gold and Reverse-Flash, Breathecast reported.

"Injustice 2 continues the epic cinematic story introduced in 'Injustice: Gods Among Us' as Batman and his allies work towards putting the pieces of society back together while struggling against those who want to restore Superman's regime," says the game's official description, as mentioned by Trusted Reviews.

It added, "In the midst of the chaos, a new threat appears that will put Earth's existence at risk. Players can play from the biggest DC roster ever offered in a fighting game, from classic fan favorites such as Batman, Superman, Supergirl and Aquaman, to astonishing new villains like Atrocitus and Gorilla Grodd. Battles will take place across arenas that have evolved in scale and span across iconic locations such as Metropolis, Gotham City and Atlantis."

"Injustice 2" is slated to arrive in 2017 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
