Viewers will be seeing how the stress of the competition is starting to weigh in on some of the artists in the upcoming episode of Spike's reality show "Ink Master."

Cartermatt reports that the tattooist from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Marisa LaRen, will fold under pressure. In the show's preview, she can be seen crying while trying to get a design together for a tattoo. Meanwhile, Craig Foster will still be reeling from the unexpected elimination of his mentor Miami Burgess, but will be "pretty fired up" and motivated to win the show for himself and his master artist.

Episode 4 will also see St. Marq from Indiana stroking his ego, calling himself a tattoo god." Though he has certainly shown some remarkable skills in the competition, fans will have to tune in the show to find out if he really is the artist to beat this season.

In the "Sink or Swim" challenge, the fifteen remaining artists were tasked to do the mythical Kraken. The focus of the game was contrasts, and the tattooists must display that on their human canvas. The judges presented several twists. First, the contestants will have to work in teams of two and, unlike the previous master-apprentice tandem, this one paired them at random. Second, they have to tattoo both hands of the canvas at the same time, with the Kraken in black and grey and its enemy in color.

The duo who wins will have the opportunity to assign the canvases during the elimination challenge and be awarded an all-expenses-paid trip to Vegas for a tattoo convention courtesy of Kraken Rum. The tandem of Erik Campbell and Chris Blinston proved to be the strongest and they ultimately won.

In the elimination challenge, the artists made a stained glass tattoo. The work of Big Ceeze, Kito Talbert and Miami Burgess' were the weakest of the bunch, but it was Miami who got axed.

On Tuesday, TV Guide reports that the teams will be adorning sarcophaguses, and that one artist's skull tattoo will infuriate the competition. Actor Avan Jogia will also serve as a guest judge.

"Ink Master" Episode 4 airs at 10 p.m. on Spike.
