Shailene Woodley returns to the big screen as Beatrice "Tris" Prior in "Insurgent," the highly anticipated sequel to the 2014 blockbuster hit "Divergent." 

Based on the second installment in the "Divergent" book trilogy written by Veronica Roth, Woodley's character will once again challenge the dystopian society that she and the rest of the citizens of the fictional futuristic Chicago live in. 

Woodley teased fans about what to expect in the upcoming sequel in her recent interview with Access Hollywood. According to the actress, she is more excited for viewers to see "Insurgent," especially since in the new movie, "the colors are more vivid, the music score much larger and where in every aspect possible, the movie has taken it up a notch." 

The actress also did her own stunts. In her interview with PEOPLE, Woodley said that compared to the first film where she and the other cast members had to study a lot of choreography and undergo several fight trainings, the stunts for the new film are less intense.

In the first film, Beatrice discovered during the annual serum-induced psychological test that she is one of the rare types of individuals who have no specific characteristics belonging to any of the five factions in the city. This means that she is a Divergent, which the dystopian government considers as a threat. 

To save her life, the proctor of her test named Tori (Maggie Q) told her to keep it a secret, and rigged the results to put her into her original Abnegation faction. But during the Choosing Ceremony, Beatrice chose to leave her Abnegation parents and go to the Dauntless faction instead. There, she decided to change her name into Tris, and met new friends like Christina (Zoe Kravitz), Al (Christian Madsen), and Will (Ben Lloyd-Hughes). She also met Four (Theo James), who she eventually fell in love with. 

By the end of "Divergent," the lives of Tris and her loved ones are in danger following the uprising staged by Erudite leader Jeanine Matthews (Kate Winslet). But can they save themselves and protect the ones they love along the way? 

"Insurgent" hits the screen in the U.S. starting March 20, while the film will premiere in the U.K. on March 11.
