iOS 8.3 jailbreak goes live: Download TAiG Jailbreak Tool

iOS fans were surprised when the jailbreak for iOS 8.3 suddenly went live this week. Many iOS users have believed that it would still take some time before a jailbreak for Apple's current mobile platform would come out since the Cupertino-based company has integrated safeguards on its most recent iOS versions.

Indeed, it has been a long time since the last iOS jailbreak, the most recent is for the iOS 8.1.2. However, Apple's safeguards and security updates to its iOS 8.3 version has not stopped many developers from trying to break the official iOS, and now the jailbreak for 8.3 has been released.

For those who are unfamiliar with how to jailbreak their Apple devices, the first thing to do is to download the TAiG Jailbreak Tool from their website. As the tool is downloading, the user can navigate the iOS device and turn off the Passcode and Find My iPhone features of the device through the Settings and iCloud tabs.

Once the download is finished, they need to plug the iOS device into the computer and then open the downloaded TAiG Jailbreak tool. Making sure that the 3K assistant option is unchecked while leaving the Cydia box ticked off, the user can then click Start and wait for the upload to finish.

Jailbreaking the iOS has been one of the tasks for many developers, since loading an unofficial version of the platform to the Apple device will open it up for more customization options, particularly letting the users tweak the OS and its features.

Meanwhile, most observers are still waiting for a new Cydia, or the jailbreaking tool, to be released by the TAiG team. For those who have already jailbroken their Apple devices, Taig is advising to wait for further versions of the tool, since they are still working on the 2.1.1 version to fix the Cydia Substrate issues.

Apple has been working to enhance the security of its operating system to prevent jailbreaking teams from coming up with jailbreaks.
