iPad Air release date November 1, 2013; Specs, price, thinner model has A7 chip, smaller battery

Apple introduced the all new iPad Air today, which is 20 percent thinner than the original ipad.

At just 7.4mm thin, it weighs only 1 pound.

The new A-7 chip with 64-bit is powerful and power-efficient. Because of this efficiency, the battery size has been reduced, making the product significantly lighter. The bezels have also been reduced.

The iPad Air has a 10-hour battery life and supports more LTE bands.

The iPad Air is the thinnest, lightest and most advanced iPad to date. It comes in silver/black and space-gray/black colors.

It will be priced at $499 for the basic 16GB Wi-Fi model and up to $299 for the 129GB model.

The cellular model starts at $629 for the 16GB model and goes up to $929 for the 128 GB model.

The FaceTime cameras have also been improved. A number of apps for the iPad Air are now available for free as well.

The new iPad Air with its all new design runs on iOS 7.

The iPad Air is available to order starting November 1, 2013.
