Tech giants will be attempting to slow down laptop sales by working on the release of larger screen tablets. Microsoft has also begun bridging the gap with the release of its Surface Pro 3 tablet lineup. Side by side, the Cupertino tech giant Apple is also being rumored to be working on a large screen iPad that will possess a form factor larger than its current flagship slate, the iPad Air 2. Now, the following has confirmed that Apple is working on releasing its large screen tablet in the near future.

The origination of the leak occurred in France and according to a series of photographs that were taken, the tablet case's shape and size are large enough to properly accommodate the iPad Pro. Previous rumors that sprouted up suggest that the upcoming slate will be incorporated with four large speakers. Two of them will be placed on the top while the remaining two will be present on the bottom to provide a miniature surround sound environment. While the screen size of the iPad Pro has not been confirmed, it is expected that the tablet will either sport a 12.9 or 12 inch form factor.

The iPad Pro's hardware specifications have not been leaked, but it is expected that the slate will feature Apple's A9 chipset, which is rumored to be processed on the 14 FinFET architecture, granting more performance and battery life to the product. Analyst Ming Chi-Kuo has stated that the upcoming slate will most likely be shipped with an optional stylus but there is no word on whether or not the stylus will be compatible with the remaining tablets.

As for the release date and price of the upcoming product, the iPad Pro will most likely possess a larger price tag compared to the iPad Air lineup and it might get unveiled during the same time the company's smart wearable, the iWatch and the iOS 9 update get showcased.
