iPhone 6 vs Samsung Galaxy A7 specs: Design, display, processor and camera

Samsung took the wraps off the Galaxy A7, completing the Galaxy A series of the company. The smartphone boasts an all metal casing, which is the trademark of the A series, while including an octa-core processor and other fair specs and features. Although the features are slightly below Samsung's flagship smartphones, the specs are at par with other devices in the market.

Below is the comparison between the iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy A7. 

Design 

Different from other Samsung smartphones, the Galaxy A7 features a full unibody casing made out of aluminum. It is thinner and resembles the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Alpha. Meanwhile, the iPhone 6 has the same aluminum casing. However, the latest iPhones are larger than their precedessors brought about by the larger screen displays. 

Screen Display 

The Samsung Galaxy A7 boasts a 5.5-inch screen display, close to the Galaxy Note 4's screen but with a slightly inferior pixel resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The iPhone 6, on the other hand, has a 4.7-inch screen display with Full HD resolution. 

Processor 

The Samsung Galaxy A7 has an octa-core processor consisting of 1.8 GHz quad-core and 1.3GHz quad-core processors, while the dual SIM variant has 1.5 GHz and 1GHz quad core processors. The iPhone 6 is powered by a 64-bit A8 processor with M8 graphics co-processor. 

Operating System 

Just like other Samsung smartphones, the Galaxy A7 runs with Android 4.4 KitKat OS that can be updated to the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. The flagship smartphone of Apple runs with the latest iOS 8 that equips the device with new features such as iHealth and Apple Pay. 

Internal Storage 

The iPhone 6 comes with storage options of 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB. Samsung's all metal Galaxy A7 is available in 16 GB storage with additional storage of up to 64 GB via microSD slot. 

Camera 

The Samsung Galaxy A7 boasts a 13-megapixel back camera and 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. The iPhone 6 comes with an 8-megapixel shooter with a 2-megapixel front facing camera. 

Battery 

According to Apple, the iPhone 6 boasts a battery capacity that lasts up to 14 hours. The Samsung Galaxy A7 packs a removable battery of 2600 mAh.
