Phone accessory maker Spigen has made available for sale some cases for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, revealing key details about the Apple flagships in the process.

Based on the design of the cases, it turns out that the iPhone 7 Plus is getting a dual-lens camera, an upgrade that previous reports and leaks have persistently suggested.

Apple has always shied away from big updates in the camera department, but the case designs for the iPhone 7 Plus shows that this year will be different.

The standard-sized iPhone 7 is also getting an imaging upgrade (albeit minor) in the form of a bigger sensor. That being said, a dual-lens camera will be a luxury for the bigger variant.

Spigen also referred to the flagships as iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, which opposes the reports that the next smartphones out of Cupertino will be called iPhone 6SE and 6SE Plus.

The latter make them seem more of a slight update rather than full-on successors, but it looks like Apple has indeed prepared a lot of new things for its next handset offerings.

Finally, the Spigen cases also showed that the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus will be ditching the headphone jack, supporting the reports that Apple will make the most of lightning ports in its new product.

Meanwhile, another leak shows that the iPhone 7 Plus will only be the other variant that the upcoming device will get. Previous reports have suggested that an iPhone 7 Pro is coming as well.

However, only two "smartphones with the Apple trademark and iOS 10" popped by the Russia-based Eurasian Economic Commission, which shows that the iPhone 7 Pro isn't a thing.

On the other hand, it is reported that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are getting bigger battery packs at 1,960mAh and 2910mAh respectively, up from the 1,715 mAh and 2,750 mAh on their predecessors.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to be launched on Sept. 7.
