While Apple has yet to confirm its release, fans already expect that the iPhone 7 will be appearing this year. A number of leaks have already sprung supporting the rumors. The latest speculations suggest that one of the upgrades featured in the iPhone 7 is a 256GB storage.

According to Forbes, a new leaked image showcasing the internals of the next iPhone reveals information on the iPhone 7. Allegedly, the new lineup will include a version with a 256GB storage. Although the leaked image is only from a tipster, the industry follower said that the source, Steve Hemmerstoffer, is a credible leakster, and the image may be accurate.

Apart from jumping to a 256GB storage, the apparent leak also points to a dual-cam setup. While the current assembly on the iPhone is already one of the better image-capturing setups in the flagship industry, dual-cam assemblies are some of the new features that current releases carry, and it is certainly plausible that Apple will want to jump into the bandwagon.

However, the dual-cam setup rumor is contrary to exclusive renders from GSM Arena. The industry follower says that the renders are based on the actual technical drawings of the iPhone 7, with the functional buttons and features placed where they appear in the drawings. The specs place a single-lens cam in the supposed spot on the back of the device, so it remains to be seen if Apple will incorporate a dual-cam setup for the final technical renders of the iPhone 7.

Other purported specs of the iPhone 7 include at least three display versions (4 inches, 4.7 inches, and 5.5-inches), at least 2GB RAM in the base model and as much as 3GB in the Plus variant, and upgrades in internals and other features.
