iPhone 7 rumors: June release date and gesture control feature to be included?
Apple has just released the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus earlier this month and, already, predictions of its successor have surfaced. iPhone 7 rumors predict a release date in June 2015, and it is speculated to pack gesture controls like Galaxy S5, S6, and other new phablets offered by Samsung.
Gesture control is one of the features lacking in the new iPhones. It enables the user to use the handset without touching it. On the other hand, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus now features iHealth that tracks the user's health information, which is the counterpart of Samsung's S Health.
The iPhone 7 is expected to pack a larger screen panel with either IGZO or Sapphire display, coupled with a better processor as well as the new form factor with no home button. Furthermore, the speculated iPhone model will include a 5.7-inch screen with almost no bezels that will increase the usability of the phone as slimmer borders will maximize the space on the screen. If there is an increase in the screen display size, then it is likely that there will also be an increase in screen resolution.
Apple has been stuck with the 8 MP rear camera for years, and only improves the software behind it. However, Samsung has continuously increased the megapixels of their smartphones. Next year, it is most likely that the Cupertino-based tech giant will also give the back shooter a boost in megapixels.
iPhone 7 is also expected to have an aluminum body and a longer battery life.
Apple sold over 10 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units in just three days, after it was officially released last Sept. 19. Apple's CEO Tim Cook said, "Sales for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus exceeded our expectations for the launch weekend, and we couldn't be happier. We would like to thank all of our customers for making this our best launch ever, shattering all previous sell-through records by a large margin."
Even before the latest iPhones have rolled out to all markets worldwide, fans are already eager to know what Apple has in store for them in the near future, and if they can expect iPhone 7 to be as exciting as iPhone 6.
