Although Apple has yet to confirm a follow-up to the iPhone 6 lineup, fans are already expecting the iPhone 7 to drop this year, possibly late in 2016. Meanwhile, supposed images of the upcoming flagship already appeared online.

According to The Independent, the supposed leaks began circulating on China-based forums. In the images, the iPhone 7's back panel can be seen, and one major change is a longer camera slot on the upper edge. The industry follower observed that instead of the usual circular lens opening on previous iPhones, the new camera slot might mean that Apple will be featuring a dual-cam setup on the upcoming iPhone.

It should be noted that the images are far from confirmed. However, a dual-cam setup is a highly plausible feature for an upcoming Apple iPhone flagship, seeing as other tech manufacturers are already lining up to have the same features on their iterations. The latest confirmed flagship to have a dual-cam setup is the upcoming P9 lineup by Huawei.

Meanwhile, the changes in the iPhone 7's body profile and design may be confirmed by supposed new cases coming out. MacRumors stumbled upon video footage detailing a reportedly leaked iPhone 7 case, and the footage shows another iPhone coming out, the iPhone SE. According to the industry follower, the alleged case can be described as designed with the iPhone 7 in mind and will not be mistaken to be an iPhone SE case because of the discrepancies. Apparently, while an iPhone SE can fit inside the case, the openings for the button placements and camera slots are all wrong.

The supposed design for the iPhone 7 is mere conjecture at this point as Apple is focusing first on the iPhone SE. The new 4-inch iPhone is being thought to be unveiled next week at Apple's event. Aside from the new iPhone SE, the Cupertino-based company is also expected to reveal other products for this year, including a new 9.7-inch iPad Pro, as well as a refreshed Apple Watch lineup.
