'Iron Man 4' movie sequel news: What will Robert Downey Jr. announce on March 5?

Wikipedia

Robert Downey has a poster of his own for the upcoming Marvel flick "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

The Iron Man poster comes out practically at the same time that the official poster of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" was revealed. For those who haven't seen the poster yet, it shows a picture of Tony Stark with his iron mask off kneeling while wearing the rest of the Iron Man suit as Ultron robot drones head his way.

Through his Twitter account however, it should be interesting the notes he placed to go with it. The Iron Man actor tweeted that he is set to make a big announcement in the coming days (actually on March 5) which has gotten the Marvel fans up and guessing.

Speculations are now running high on what the announcement could be. Could it be tied up with the upcoming Avengers film? Would it be about the Iron Man series? The speculations are just endless.

With Marvel having set its set of films to come out as far as 2019, Downey's appearances are rapidly dwindling. And on that note, it seems highly improbably to see Downey continue his portrayal of Iron Man/Tony Stark in another Iron Man flick since that would mean he would be at a ripe age of 55 after 2019.

Hence, the only thing that he could possibly announce in line with his Iron Man role is seeing his character cast in one (or several) of the coming films that Marvel has in its lineup.

Then again, it could be about an upcoming character in the Marvel fold. It could be about the returning Spiderman or even Black Bolt in "Inhumans".

Whatever that announcement would be should be known by next week so stay tuned.
