Famed game developer BioWare announced this week that the across-all-platforms release of "Jaws of Hakkon," the DLC expansion for the title "Dragon Age: Inquisition," is confirmed this coming May. "Jaws of Hakkon" is already available for the Xbox One and Windows PC, and the schedule is for the remaining PS3, PS4, and Xbox 360 releases.

When the "Jaws of Hakkon" DLC was released last week, it was only slated for Windows PC and Xbox One. Citing an exclusivity agreement between the owner of BioWare, gaming giant Electronic Arts, and Microsoft, the release of the expansion to other platforms was delayed, and even announcements about when the DLC would be released for Sony's consoles were banned as part of the deal. Understandably, fans were upset about the development, and it came to a point that even BioWare released a statement urging fans to wait patiently and to not boycott the game.

This week, an official tweet from the developer BioWare now confirms that the release of "Jaws of Hakkon" for the other platforms is slated for May. No specific date was mentioned, and many are wondering if BioWare is just sitting fences on this one, and that the tweet is meant to pacify hardcore fans without incurring a violation of their agreement with Microsoft.

The "Jaws of Hakkon" DLC expands the "Dragon Age" universe, dealing with a backstory about the game's Last Inquisitor. Part of the new pack is a new location in Thedas that can be freely explored by players. Featuring numerous new environments like lush forests and mountains similar to Hinterlands, these new locations are home to the Avvar, named as fierce hunters native to the Thedas area.

According to the official DLC webpage, players who venture into the new vastness and encounter the Avvar will "explore their culture to uncover what happened to the last Inquisitor and the dragon he pursued. Find an ancient Tevinter fortress that hides a dangerous secret."
