Singer Jennifer Hudson drops protective order against ex-fiance David Otunga, granting him primary custody of their eight-year-old son.

Earlier this month, the couple ended their decade-long relationship, at the same time "The Voice" coach received a protective order against the two-time WWE Tag Team Champion. This prohibited Otunga from having any contact with her or their son.

Now according to TMZ, the former couple have recently reached a temporary custody agreement that gives Otunga parental custody majority of the time. The 36-year-old singer is reportedly busy flying back and forth London and Los Angeles for her commitments to "The Voice UK" and "The Voice."

Otunga has earlier argued through his lawyer that he has been their son's primary caregiver since birth, as Hudson was generally busy with her travel schedules.

Hudson and Otunga got engaged in 2008, after just a few months of dating. They welcomed their son David Jr. in 2009.

When they officially broke up earlier in November, an insider told Us Weekly that "They have been in the process of ending their relationship for a number of months."

According to legal documents acquired by the magazine, the "Spotlight" singer asked for a protective order on Nov. 16 because of her ex-fiance's "increasingly aggressive, threatening and harassing behavior."

"I believe that if David is given notice, he will physically harm me, continually harass me, and/or take action against my property, or seek to sequester my son, David, Jr.," Hudson said in the document.

The "Dreamgirls" actress also alleged that Otunga psychologically abused their son on Nov. 15, when the wrestler thought Hudson was having an affair with one of her producers.

Otunga's lawyer, Tracy M. Rizzo, counters that Hudson was using her client's time at the WWE to "portray herself as the victim." Rizzo insists that the 37-year-old wrestler never harmed the singer or their son.
