Jeremy Lin requests prayers as he starts life as a Charlotte Hornet

Jeremy Lin is upbeat about starting NBA life once again but is approaching the new opportunity seeking help through prayers from his fans.

Lin requested for prayers from the fans via his official website, which can be viewed only by official subscribers. For those who haven't, you can simply subscriber here.

Lin held a fan appreciation day last Aug. 20, during which multiple contests were held for Lin's followers. Such contests included an Instagram Video contest, a Q&A session on Facebook, and a Meme contest also on Facebook.

But going back to his NBA tenure, Lin is not taking any chances. He knows that while he is looking forward to start a new life with the Hornet, seeking help from above is still a must. And hopefully with his fans doing the same, he can rebound from a forgettable last season and start playing big with each opportunity he can get under head coach Steve Clifford and the rest of the Hornet players.

With the proper spiritual guidance paired with his work ethic, Lin is hoping he doesn't fall prey once more to possibly sinking in the way he did with the Los Angeles Lakers.

After being acquired by the Lakers last season, there were high hopes that Linsanity could resurrect over in Hollywood. Apparently, it never did and Lin became a total misfit. He drew criticism from Kobe Bryant and failed to get along with head coach Byron Scott.

For those who love to look at the bright side, one positive sign when the 2014–15 NBA season ended is that Lin surprisingly drew a lot of interest. Although it may not be as rich as the contract he received from the Houston Rockets after a breakout year with the Knicks, the fact remains that Lin has the skill set certain teams need.

Among the teams that showed interest include the reigning NBA champions Golden State Warriors, Indiana Pacers, Dallas Mavericks, and even his old team the Houston Rockets.

He eventually chose to join the Charlotte Hornets and hopefully, this stint will bring back those Linsanity years.
