Jill and Jessa Duggar are set to return to television and to their home network, TLC. According to a report from US Magazine, "Jill and Jessa: Counting On" season 1 will premiere this March 15.

Last year, the sisters aired a three-episode special with the same title, and the new series will carry on where that special mini-series left off. "Jill and Jessa: Counting On" will not feature all of the Duggar siblings as it will focus primarily on the lives of the titular sisters and their struggles to raise their own families.

As stated in the report, the episodes will center on Jill, her husband Derick Dillard, and their baby Israel as they work as missionaries over in Central America, and on Jessa as she spends time with her husband Ben Seewald and their three-month old son Spurgeon.

Jinger, Joy Anna, Jana, John David, Joseph, Josiah and their sister-in-law Anna are confirmed to be making appearances on the show but there is no confirmation of how much of the spotlight will be shown on them and their individual lives.

According to the Huffington Post, it comes as no surprise that the show has been greenlit and is set to air on TLC because "19 Kids and Counting" was in fact the highest-viewed series on the network, despite the allegations of sexual molestation against Josh.

The report points out that Discovery Communications had lost over $19 million after the show was dropped and there are indications that other sponsors, endorsers and producers for the show have lost profits as well, leading TLC to bring back the Duggar family in some form or another.

It is also stated that despite the controversies surrounding Josh Duggar, the three-episode special focusing on Jill and Jessa managed to reel in over 3 million viewers.
